Exercise of the week: Squat clean to push press

What is it?

The squat clean to push press is a simple but challenging exercise which works both the upper and lower parts of your body in one move.

What does it do?

This exercise works several muscle groups at once which means it it’s great for fat-burning as well as strengthening!

How to do it?

While you can see in my video I do this move with a barbell, its worth starting with dumbbells if you are new to it, until you’ve mastered the technique and feel comfortable with the movement.

Grab two heavy dumbbells (or a barbell if more advanced) and squat as low as you can. Explosively extend your hips and shrug the weights. In one motion, ‘clean’ the dumbbells to your shoulders. Press the weights over your head, locking out your elbows.
