What is it?
The incline barbell bench press is an upper body strength exercise that targets the chest, shoulders and triceps.
What does it do?
Performing this activity on an incline enables you to target the upper portion of the chest. The incline also makes it safer and more joint-friendly for your shoulders.
How to do them:
Position yourself on an incline bench at a 30-45 degree angle with your feet firmly on the floor. Hold the barbell with an overhand grip shoulder-width apart above your chest. Extend your arms upward locking out your elbows. Lower the bar straight down in a slow, controlled movement to your chest. Repeat as many times as you can with good form.
